Staying Safe as COVID-19 Restrictions Ease

 In Uncategorized

It wasn’t too long ago that the country as told to practice safe social distancing. A new phrase for many of us. For some, that requirement was stricter depending on where you live. Now that several weeks have passed, many states are easing those coronavirus restrictions. That may make you feel a little nervous but there are some ways you can continue keeping you and your family safe if you decide to venture out of your house.

In California, what you’re allowed to do depends on where you live. Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti is urging residents to stay inside while surrounding counties opened their beaches for people who maintained safe social distancing.

And that there is the key. If you feel safe enough, and it is in line with what your local leaders have advised, maintaining six feet of distance between you and people around you should help to keep you safe from the coronavirus. Masks and face coverings are recommended, but not required, if you want to go out of your house. Most leaders agree and say that masks are no substitute for social distancing and staying home. But say they’re better than nothing. The CDC says cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators. They say those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare works and other medical first responders.

If you have to travel through an area where it is difficult to maintain proper social distancing, such as grocery stores or pharmacies, wearing a cloth face covering is something the CDC recommends- even if it is not required by your government leaders.
